Day off work

Hi ladies!

I requested off work today to...

1. Recover from the Beer Olympics

2. Go to the dentist, and

3. Go to the doctor

I just left the dentist and apparently my insurance doesn't start until the middle of Sept (why didn't anyone tell me this?) so I had to reschedule. I hope this isn't what happens at the doctor... if so I'll be pissed for a wasted day off work.

So for those of you who missed the Beer Olympics - you didn't miss too much. There was about 7 million boys there, and the girls consisted of only about 20% of who was there. We played beer pong, foosball, and flip cup - me and Emily lost miserably. Some how we always kept getting paired up with Damien and Kevin during our games? Unfair? I think so...

Anyways - it wasn't anything too exciting. Me and Joey got into a huge drunk fight at the end of the night, and Bonnie peed in Brian's bed (surprising? not really). Here's a picture Jessa posted on facebook of "Oh Canada" (aka - Me and Emily). I didn't realize we were both wearing blue... If I would have realized that in my drunkiness we could have been a country that has blue in their flag or something! Oh well...

New page / My summer

I don't know how much information I'll have to update about my life, but I can say this is what I've been doing lately...


I'm getting used to working 40 hour weeks finally. I don't have the urge to take naps when I get home from work anymore! Yay! I'm working on the interiors and construction documents for a 300,000 SF Intermediate School in Maryville at work. Talk about stressful. The full package of CD's go out the middle of September, so I'll be pretty stressed out up until then. But what's exciting is that if and when it gets built, it'll be the biggest (in term of square footage) building my work has EVER built! So that will be exciting to say that I worked on it!

Other than work, I'm spending my time trying to learn to cook, hanging out with peeps in Knoxville, and (trying) to be motivated to workout. I got a kitten about 2 weeks ago, and he only lasted in my apartment about a week :-( I really miss him, but he kept me up all night long and it was pretty miserable going to work on only a few hours of sleep a night. I had to take him to the shelter, but he will get adopted pretty quickly I think... He's a sweet little kitten. I still want a little creature running around my apartment, but I think I need to look into getting a grown up kitty or doggie... I need something more mellow.

Well, maybe that was interesting... maybe not? I've got to go start getting ready for a pool party at my boss's house.... strange I know. FYI - I will not be stripping down to my bikini in front of m co-workers - that ain't happenin'
